This notice is provided in accordance with California Proposition 65 (the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986), which requires businesses to warn California residents about exposures to chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.

Jewelry and Metal Products

Certain metals and materials used in jewelry manufacturing — including sterling silver, gold vermeil, brass components, leather treatments, and surface finishes — may contain trace levels of lead, cadmium, or nickel. While our products comply with all applicable federal safety standards, including the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) lead limits for children's products and FDA regulations, California's Proposition 65 establishes stricter thresholds and requires disclosure at lower exposure levels than federal standards.

Lead in Jewelry

California Health and Safety Code Section 25299.2 (the Metal-Containing Jewelry Law) restricts lead content in jewelry. All Qelora jewelry products meet these requirements. However, Proposition 65 requires a warning even when exposures are well below levels that would trigger federal action. The warning does not mean our products will cause harm — it means California law requires disclosure of potential exposure to listed chemicals above certain thresholds.

Nickel Sensitivity

Leather Products

Leather goods (bracelets, wallets, watch straps) may contain trace chemicals from the tanning and finishing process. Our leather suppliers comply with applicable safety standards, but Proposition 65 requires disclosure of potential chemical exposure from leather products.

The Proposition 65 warning does not mean our products are unsafe. It is a legal requirement for businesses selling to California residents.
